Individual Therapy
At Labyrinth, I work with a combination of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), IFS (internal family systems), ego state, and attachment therapy to facilitate personal healing and integration. My work is informed by mindfulness and somatic approaches, especially with clients who have spent a long time intellectualizing their distress and are ready for something deeper. I prioritize creating a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space, and align best in with clients who value curiosity and gentle challenge to get to the root of what is showing up in their life. I often work with clients navigating various types of trauma including complex trauma, relational challenges and dissolution, sexuality and gender exploration, identity formation, PMDD, queer oppression, religious trauma, and mood disorders.
I believe that healing happens relationally and experientially, and that trauma, abuse, maladaptive messaging, and oppression disrupt and block what is naturally available within us to heal and unfold as people. Many of my clients are working to live with intention and presence in a world that increasingly prioritizes shallow immediacy, and often feel isolated in a religious, conservative context.
